Dear colleagues and partners,
 
 For more than twenty years, the German Foundation Schüler Helfen Leben (SHL) supports projects in Southeast Europe, since 2012/2013 also in Syria and Jordan. SHL is active in the fields of education, youth activism, social inclusion of marginalized groups as well as peace and conflict resolution.
 
 Today SHL is pleased to inform you that the Call for Proposals 2017 is launched for project activities in the eligible countries Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
 
 Since its foundation, a special focus of SHL has been on the situation of migrants and refugees. Given the current and immense challenges in that area, the members of SHL have decided that the Call for Proposals for 2017 will pay exclusive attention to projects aiming at the participation and integration of young migrants and refugees in society. Hence, SHL invites NGOs to propose projects of maximum three years, which empower young people who have experienced displacement. With this special focus, SHL seeks to build on experiences gathered with the emergency relief fund for refugees on the so-called Balkan route, which was installed in the summer of 2015 and through which SHL supported 59 initiatives in Southeast Europe.
 Following the principles of SHL, special priority will be given to activities integrating decision-making and participation structures of youth.
 
 We would like to ask you to share this information with local NGOs working in the above mentioned fields.
